Calculating Tuition: Using First Hour and Additional Hour

What do the terms "first hour" and "additional hour" mean?

The "first hour" and "additional hour" rates are used to calculate tuition that is below or above the full-time rate. The "first hour" is exactly that — the cost of the first credit hour. "Additional hour" is the cost of every credit hour after the first. If, for example, a student were to elect four credit hours total, the tuition assessment would be the cost of the first credit hour, plus the additional hourly rate multiplied by three. Undergraduate students who enroll beyond full-time will be assessed the additional hourly rate for every credit hour over full-time.

You can find the tuition rates on our website.
