Using Images on the SPH Website

All images must be resized before being uploaded to the SPH website.

Common Image Sizes on the SPH Website

• Landing page hero (banner) images are 2500 x 769
• All head shots including faculty profile images are 815 x 436
• Homepage Spotlight images are 924 x 483
• Blog post main images are 1005 x 525
• Images for Feature Cards:
  • Full-size: 1251px wide by 743px tall (enable Use full-size image)
    Small-size: 918px wide by 276px tall
• Photo gallery images must be .png format and 800 pixels wide. It is important that they are all the same orientation and size.
• Event flyers can be up to 1920 pixels wide by 1080 pixels tall

Resizing Photos

• All images must be resized before being uploaded to the SPH website.
• Adobe PhotoShop is now available free for all SPH faculty and staff via the Creative Cloud application in Software Center. You can use that to resize images. Just be sure to use Pixels instead of inches, and keep the aspect ratio locked:
  

• Canva is a free online image editing service that many people at SPH use.
• Looking for stock photography? Try unsplash.com.

Miscellaneous

• Faculty Profiles Dependence Manager IDs for OU Campus - This spreadsheet lists the codes for links to all faculty profiles, as well as the codes to insert all faculty images. It is much easier to copy and paste from this spreadsheet than it is to navigate to these pages in OU Campus.
