Simple Syllabus is a centralized, template-driven platform that enables instructors to quickly personalize and publish interactive class syllabi. For students, Simple Syllabus creates a one-stop collection of course syllabi.
Instructor Access
Canvas Access for Instructors
The Simple Syllabus tool has been integrated into the School of Public Health Canvas environment and named 'Course Syllabus'. View your syllabi course-by-course in Canvas, or reference the Web Portal instructions to see all at once.
- If not already visible in your Canvas course navigation, enable the 'Course Syllabus' from the Settings > Navigation menus. See detailed steps for this process.
- Click on the 'Course Syllabus' in your Canvas course left-hand navigation menu to generate your syllabus.
- Review and each of the content blocks along with the instructions provided in the right-hand column. Customize to your course as needed.
Web Portal Instructor Access
View all of your courses in one place from the Simple Syllabus dashboard.
- Filter the Dashboard by semester
- To-Do lists syllabi for the courses you're assigned to teach
- Completed will list all submitted syllabi that have been posted for students to view both in Canvas or the Syllabus Library.
Student Access

The Simple Syllabus tool has been integrated into the School of Public Health Canvas environment and named 'Course Syllabus'. If you don't see this in your Canvas site left-hand navigation, it may not be in-use by your instructor.

See all of your course syllabi in the My Syllabi menu in our Simple Syllabus web portal.
