Using MPrint to Install Your Printer 2025

Summary

How to use MPrint to install printers in Windows computers.

Connect to the Cisco UM VPN (Not needed if you are connected to the internal U-M/SPH network). Log in to mprint.umich.edu and click on “Tools” and then “Install” to access the new installer
Click on the link to download the new installer. DO NOT CLICK “LAUNCH INSTALLER”
You may see a warning screen. Click “More Info”
Next, click “Run anyway”. This will launch the installer.
1. If you receive any error messages, make sure you are still connected to the Cisco UM VPN
Once the installer completes you will be prompted to log in as your uniqname.
Once logged in you should now see the full list of MPrint printers available to you (This list will include ALL U-M Printers/Copiers. --To narrow the selection use contextual text in the “QUICK SEARCH” field, such as “sph1” and/or “Room number where the Printer is located” to narrow the choices). If you do not see any printers or the one you wish to install is not listed, please contact sph.help@umich.edu for assistance.
