Kaltura - Share Video with Specific User

Add Collaborators

 

Kaltura videos can be shared with individuals by using the Collaboration options for a video.

  1. Go to My Media in Canvas.
  2. Click the pencil icon to the right of the video you want to share.

  3. On the next screen, click the Collaboration tab below the video.

  4. Click the + Add Collaborator button.

  5. Search for the person you would like to add by entering their name or email address.
    The Add a Collaborator pop up box where users can type in the person with whom to share the video.
  6. Check the box next to the role you would like to give the person:
    • Co-Editor: Can view and make edits to the video. Cannot share within courses.
    • Co-Publisher: Can view and share the video within their own courses.
    • Co-Viewer: Can only view the video within their My Media.

  7. Click the Add button.

Remove Collaborators

 
  1. Go to My Media in Canvas.
  2. Click the pencil icon to the right of the video.

  3. On the next screen, click the Collaboration tab below the video.

  4. Current collaborators will be listed below the Media Collaborators section. Click the X to the right of their name, then select Delete to confirm their removal as a collaborator.
