Table of Contents Creating a Video Quiz Deploying a Video Quiz Reviewing Video Quiz Results Overview For those looking to add some interactivity to course videos, Kaltura offers a Video Quiz option. Any video in your My Media list can be turned into a video quiz with questions appearing at various points during the video. Creating a Video Quiz Navigate to Canvas, log in, and click on the My Media button on the menu bar. Click the Add New button and select Video Quiz. Click the blue Select button next to the video to which you would like to add quiz questions. Set the quiz options by expanding the Details, Scores, and Experiences tabs on the quiz editor. Navigate to the moment of the video when playback should pause to display a question. Click the question type icons to select the type, then click the icon again to edit the question. Enter the question and answer text as required by the question type. Click the + symbol to add multiple choice answers. Objective question types will display a green check next to the correct answer. Click the shuffle button in the top-left corner to quickly reorder answer choices. Click Save to add the quiz question. Navigate the video timeline to repeat the process and add additional questions at other points in the video. Click Done when finished adding questions. Deploying a Video Quiz To deploy a video quiz in your course, create a new assignment. Set your assignment options and change the Submission Type to External Tool. Click the Find button to bring up the list of available tools. Select MiVideo In Video Quiz. Click the Embed button next to the video quiz you would like to deploy. Click Select to finish adding the quiz to the assignment. Verify the assignment settings and it Save & Publish. Reviewing Video Quiz Results To review student attempts, access your My Media tab. Select Analytics icon to the right of the video quiz. Click the Quiz Users tabs to review quiz results for each student.
