Hiding Meeting Name for Schedule Displays

Environment

Google Calendar, Zoom meeting, Schedule Display, Zoom Room

Issue

You have scheduled a meeting and do not want the title to appear on a schedule display or Zoom Room display.

Resolution

When scheduling a meeting on your Google calendar:

  1. Create a new meeting/appointment
  2. In the lower right hand side of the window that pops up, click on More options
  3. Add all the relevant information and details you typically add, title, notes, guests, etc.
  4. In the middle of this window there is an icon that looks like a suitcase, next to that are two drop down menus
    1. The dropdowns usually say Busy and Default visibility
  5. Click on the drop down menu that contains the words Default visibility
  6. Select Private
  7. When you have finished with the rest of your invitation, click the save button in the top right corner
  8. Now the meeting name will show on your calendar but it will show as '(Your name)'s Meeting' on any calendar you have invited to this meeting
