What student information can parents/family/guardians access online?
Resolution
Parents, family, and guardians may be authorized to view/receive student information using the process explained here: Authorize Parent/Guardian to View Student Account. Information.
Parent/family/guardian access to student information online is limited to the following categories:
- Student Account Data
- Financial Aid Data
Additionally, parents/family/guardians can be authorized to receive email newsletters on the following topics:
- Student Account News
- Alterts/Bulletins
- UM Housing News
- Financial Aid News
Other student information such as grades, course schedules, and other academic information is not available for parents/family/guardians to view online. For more information about this policy, see https://parents.umich.edu/page/notifications-student-privacy.
