eRRM: No Appointment Populated for Study Team Member in eResearch Regulatory Management

Environment

eResearch Regulatory Management (eRRM)

Issue

There is no appointment populated for study team member in an eResearch Regulatory Managment study.

Resolution

There could be several reasons why:

  • There are several appointments to select.
    •  Please select the appropriate appointment per the Adding a Study Team Member documentation: https://documentation.its.umich.edu/node/1251.
    • If an appointment that should be available to select is not listed, it may be a future appointment and you will need to contact the IRB for guidance.
  • There is no appointment to select.
    • Check that appropriate Job Data is entered into HRMS. If the job data is not found in HRMS system, contact department HR as they will need to enter the job data for the customer.
    • If an appointment that should be available to select is not listed, it may be a future appointment and you will need to contact the IRB for guidance.
    • If job data does exist in HRMS, contact the Service Center ( https://its.umich.edu/help ), who can escalate the incident to the eResearch Regulatory Management team.
      • Do not delete and re-add the study team member, as this can cause further issues.
      • Do not use the Add Appointment button to add an appointment.
  • Students, student employees, friend accounts (not affiliated with U-M) or otherwise do not require an appointment.
    • If N/A is listed under the Appointment column in the Personnel page of the study, no appointment needs to be selected.
    • If an appointment is available to select (e.g. you are also an employee), you will not be required to select it.
      • The system should not give you an error in this case, as the appointment may be unrelated to the study.

Note: eRRM does not pull employment information of any kind from MCommunity.
