MICDE Academic program eligibility - external applicants

The three academic programs offered by the Michigan Institute for Computational Discovery & Engineering (MICDE) (Ph.D. in Scientific Computing, Graduate Certificate in Computational Discovery & Engineering, and Graduate Certificate in Computational Neuroscience) are only offered as add-ons for students currently enrolled in a graduate program at the University of Michigan. The courses required to complete these programs are conducted in-person in Ann Arbor.

In order to participate in one of MICDE's academic programs, you would need to first apply to a graduate degree program at U-M, which would serve as your home department.
