The query is designed to pull donors to be acknowledged in Honor Rolls or on Donor Walls. This report pulls all donors (individuals and organizations) with recognition credit of $X or more to a user-specific SCU/VP Area/Campus/Department ID/Designation within a specific timeframe.

Please note: since this report is recognition-based, no giving should be summed across constituents, as gifts will be double-counted (e.g., if a constituent gives through a foundation, both the constituent and the foundation will have a row within the report). In addition, spouses will have multiple lines.

Why use this report?

Use this report if you need assistance reviewing data for a donor wall/honor roll. Please note that this report requires manual manipulation to be fully effective (see how to use this report). 

How to use this report?

Excel

Please note, this report requires the users to do manual manipulation in Excel in order to best utilize the information. 

To use this report:

First refresh, then export to Excel.

Once in Excel, 

Delete Row 8 (the small blank row below the header.

Then sort the table by Total Recognition (Including Anonymous) -- Column S and

Regent's Hierarchical Onstituency -Column H

In Column B, paste the following formula in every cell:

=Row()

Then in cell AA8, paste this formula:

=IFERROR( IF(VLOOKUP(AB8,$A:$B,2,FALSE)>$B8,VLOOKUP(AB8,$A:$B,2,FALSE),""),"")

Then copy that formula to all the Associated Donor Row cells.

These two formulas will show you which rows assoiciated donors are listed on.

Combine donors into a single row, and remove the lower rows.

Running the Report Directly

Click the highlighted icon to bring up the user prompts.

If the report is taking too long to run, schedule the report (see above).

You then need to set the prompts. (Prompts act as questions that help you to customize the information in a report to suit your own needs!)

Report Tabs

There are two report tabs:

  • Honor Roll Data

    • Displays the honor roll data, including total recognition per constituent as well as the associated donors via recognition credit.

  • Translation Details

    • Displays all recognition transaction details per constituent for the selected site. Please note that this tab will show transaction details even if they do not meet the threshold selected in the prompt.
