Commonly Used Name Formats

Name Format Description Example
Contemporary (always joint if available) Includes spouse in addressee and salutation even if both spouses do not meet Marketing Effort criteria. This option gives a formal name format. While similar to Receipts, this name format will place the selected constituent first in the addressee and salutation fields (i.e. John is pulled into the Marketing Effort and Jane is not, John will be addressed first).

Mr. John Doe and Mrs. Jane Doe

Constituent in mailing is addressed first.


Contemporary (limited to constituents in mailing)
Includes spouse in addressee and salutation ONLY when both spouses meet Marketing Effort criteria. This option gives a formal name format.
