What Does It Do?
The OUD-DS3 best practice is for Business to be the default address type for organizational addresses.
This integrity check identifies addresses on organization constituent records that have an address type that isn’t related to organizations so that the address type value can be updated to Business.
How Is This Done?
This integrity check is run using a SQL Server view called [INTEGRITY_CHECKS].[dbo].[IDS.V-INTEGRITY CHECK-ADDRESS-Update Org Addr Type to Business(DW)], which is located in DB-OUD > Databases > INTEGRITY_CHECKS > Views.
That view queries valid address records associated with organization constituents which have any one of the following types: Home, 2nd Home, Other, Diploma, Parent’s, Seasonal, or Last Known. That view prepares a batch file to update the address type to Business.
Permissible address types for organizations are Business, 2nd Bus., Match Gift, OrgContact, Campus, and UM-Campus.
