Add First Generation Student Attribute

What Does It Do?

The OUD-DS3 best practice is for first-generation students to be given an identifying attribute in DART.

This integrity check identifies first-generation students in the student system who are not identified as such in DART so that the First Generation Student attribute can be added to their record. 

How Is This Done?

This integrity check is run using a Business Objects report called “Yearly - First Generation Student Integrity Check”, which is located in Public Folders/UM-Maintained/Development/OUD IDS Team Reports/_Internal Team Reports for Community/Data Strategy Reports/Integrity Checks/.

That report queries students with a first generation undergraduate student indicator in the student system (SA03) who do not already have the First Generation Student attribute in DART. It creates a list of students for whom to add this attribute with the value ‘Yes’.
