What Does It Do?
The OUD-DS3 best practice is for alumni of U-M Flint and U-M Dearborn to have both the SCU alumni affiliation and a campus alumni affiliation. This will include anyone who has attended this campus and taken at least 4 credits in one semester who is not currently attending - this includes people who have not graduated with a degree.
This integrity check identifies constituents with a UM Flint or UM Dearborn degree but without a ‘Univ of Michigan-Flint’ or ‘Univ of Michigan-Dearborn’ alumni affiliation so that the campus alumni affiliation can be added.
How Is This Done?
This integrity check is run using a SQL Server view called [INTEGRITY_CHECKS].[dbo].[IDS.V-INTEGRITY CHECK-EDUCATION-Add Missing Campus Affiliation(DW)], which is located in DB-OUD > Databases > INTEGRITY_CHECKS > Views.
That view queries constituents that have a Flint or Dearborn educational college, excluding those that are currently attending, but do not have a Flint or Dearborn alumni affiliation. It notes that the ‘Univ of Michigan-Flint’ or ‘Univ of Michigan-Dearborn’ alumni affiliation should be added to the constituent record.
