Network Storage / Cloud Backup
We recommend you store data in some cloud / backup location instead of only storing it on your Desktop or Documents. That way if something happened to your machine it your files will be backed up.
The School has its own network Drives. You can find them: (Windows) By opening your File Folders > "This PC" on the left side. (Macs)
- U Drive - Your storage location, that is not shared by your department
- S Drive - The Schools shared network drive. Contains folders that are managed by groups and departments. If you need access please have the owner put in a request.
Other cloud backup options are:
- Dropbox - Application allows you to work off of data in the Dropbox folder, while backing up that data, and collaborating.
- Google Drive - Similar to Dropbox but using Google. Please note Google does not allow for HIPAA data
- Crash Planner - A request needs to be made for this application to be installed. Only makes a backup of your computer's data.
