SIMIQ - Grant Access to Videos

Guide on how to navigate and grant access for accounts in SimIQ

First visit the SIMIQ website
https://sims.nursing.umich.edu/SIMIQ
Log in with your level 1 uniqname and password

Then navigate to the Videos Tab

Switch to the Search mode (and adjust as needed) to locate the appropriate video(s).

While looking at the list of videos, there are two ways to grant access to a video:

Method 1

Using the check boxes, select multiple or a single video you would like to grant access to.

Then select Video Access above the columns

The screen that appears should first summarize the videos you've selected, and below will show what access is on the video

(This screen will not show you the current access to the video, you'll have to follow Method 2 in order to view access)

Select Additional User Access

Then select the Add New button

In the Keywords search look up the faculty member by their name or uniqname then press Search

Use the check box by their name and press Save Changes in the bottom right

On the previous window, you can select Save & Close.

This should grant them view access to the video(s).

Method 2

Select an individual video via the date column

This will bring you to the normal video viewing player

Select the Access tab, this will show you who currently has access to the video.

Here you can adjust who has access

Select Add New

In the Keywords search look up the faculty member by their name or uniqname then press Search

Use the check box by their name and press Save Changes in the bottom right

This should grant them view access to the video(s).
