Zoom is a cloud-based video communications app that allows you to set up virtual video and audio conferencing, webinars, live chats, screen-sharing, and other collaborative capabilities.

How to request access to Zoom
- All University of Michigan faculty already have access to Zoom.
How to Configure/Set up Zoom
- To get started, you will need to download and install Zoom on your computer. (You may also download Zoom on your phone, but for features such as recording, the computer application is highly encouraged.
Testing
- There is no mandatory testing process for Zoom, but it is recommended that you practice with the software before the beginning of the term. It is also encouraged that you test your equipment again in advance of high-stakes meetings.
- Note: You need to have a working camera and microphone for your Zoom sessions. If you do not have these items, here are some suggested ones:
