Typhon Top 5 Tips

These are five important tips to keep in mind as you log your clinical hours in Typhon. For a more detailed guide, see the Typhon Student Guide

  1. Do not enter HIPAA protected information into Typhon!

  2. Be proactive. You have a limited amount of time to enter your logs into the system. We recommend entering your Typhon logs within a day or two of your patient visit.

  3. Set your defaults. Update your default choices at the beginning of each new course. These defaults auto-populate new case logs which will save you time. You can also request to have a new site/preceptor added to the system from the defaults page.

  4. Save often. Typhon does not have an auto-save feature. Ensure that you select the save option before navigating to another screen.

  5. Learn about Typhon. Watch the tutorial video (password typhon123) and read the pertinent instructional material in Typhon. These resources are available under the Help header in the Information and Setup section on your home page.
