Troubleshooting

Room Shutting Down

Potentially caused because of the podium overheating.
The main symptom of this being the situation is if everything in the front of the rack does not have power.
The failing component is called: Middle Atlantic PD-215 2-Outlet Line-to-Neutral Surge Protector

The Fix:

  1. Open the back of the podium.
    1. If the podium back door is closed then use the magnet that is housed behind the monitor near the touch panel
    2. I usually place the magnet up against the hole where the lock is and shake the podium door until the locking mechanism sticks to the magnet
  2. Locate the Surge ProtectorUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  3. Then locate the power plug input on the bottom of the surge protector and unplug it. (There will be a metal guard you'll have to flip up so you can unplug it)Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  4. Wait about 20 seconds then plug it back in.
  5. Wait another 15 seconds then turn back on the main computer
  6. You will need to wait until the touch panel fully comes back up until you can start controlling the room again (~3mins). It will appear off until a splash screen saying: "velocity" appears.
  7. You may need to select classroom from the touch panel, then shutdown the room using the touch panel again so that the projector and other components are synced again.
