Downloading a lecture recording

Summary

Details & instructions for downloading lecture recordings. Only the owners (typically the instructor) and site managers (typically GSIs) have the ability to download recordings made through the Lecture Recording system. If the Lecture Recording team is asked for this by anyone other then these people, we will ask for approval from the owner of the recording.

Directions 

1. Go to https://leccap.engin.umich.edu/leccap/manage/site and select the Recordings option for the course you would like to download from.
2. On the next page, click the Edit option attached to any published Lecture Recording recording.
3. On the Edit Recording page, look for the Recording Formats module on the right side of the screen.
4. Open the drop down menu under Web-based viewers, then select either Download or Import to Google Drive.
   1. If selecting download, the browser will automatically begin downloading an .mp4 of the Lecture Recording recording.
      1. If importing to Google Drive, this will create a new folder in your University of Michigan Google Drive labeled CAEN Lecture Recording Sites and place the recording there.
