Summary
Mac computer will repeatedly request synchronization of Kerberos account. An input box will prompt synchronization of Kerberos password, but will continue to appear on the screen. This occurs after the user has logged into the computer.

- Change the University of Michigan (UMICH) password using the site password.it.umich.edu.
- Log in, select Change UMICH Password and set a new password.
- Connect your Mac to a wired campus network or MWireless. (MGuest will not work.)
- Change the local password on the machine.
- On your Mac, choose Apple menu.
- System Settings, then click Users & Groups in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
- Click "i" next to your user name.
- Click Change.
- Enter your current password in the Old Password field.
- Enter your new password in the New Password field, then enter it again in the Verify field.
- Click Change Password.
- Reboot the computer.
- Log in using the new LOCAL password you set in step 3.
- After logging in, you will get another ADSROOT password prompt. In the input box, put in your UMICH password.
- A second pop-up will appear asking for your UMICH password (top box) and LOCAL password (bottom box). Input both passwords and click "Sync Password".
When you next reboot your computer, use your new UMICH password to log into the Mac.
