Ways to access SPSS for LSA psychology graduate students

Summary

LSA Psychology Graduate students with professional development funds are able to purchase SPSS is available for use on a personal machine in the following ways listed below. 

Directions

Remote access on University machine

•  Use Virtual Sites - a full Campus Computing Sites Windows desktop virtual desktop from any device

• Connect remotely with Remote Desktop into an LSA device that has SPSS installed

  • Send an email to LSATechnologyServices@umich.edu asking to have access Remote Desktop set up

Installed directly on your computer

• Purchase SPSS (yearly license)

  • Purchase out of pocket with personal funds

  • Want to use your Professional Development Funds? After purchasing out of pocket, request a reimbursement as outlined on the Psych Portal (under Professional Development Funds subpage). 

Current GSI/GSRA

• Free and available to install on a personal computer if you are currently teaching and your MCommunity profile says you are an LSA Psychology Faculty and Staff
