Stata/SE Access for Econ PhD Students

Summary

LSA's Department of Economics has licensed Stata/SE specifically for personal machines for students in PhD program. This will be a self-serve process, and the East Hall region will provide support if students run into an installation problem.

Economics PhD students can access department-funded licenses for their personally-owned computers by placing a request in the ITS Software Store. After entering your uniqname in the recipients field, the store will detect your affiliation as an Econ PhD student and set the price to $0.

Directions

Requesting the software

1. Go to the ITS Software Store page to request the license and provide the required information. Note that only Econ PhD students have access to this software (as opposed to Masters or undergrads).

2. Once the license is granted you will receive an email with all the pertinent information.
3. Any questions or problems should be sent to its.software@umich.edu with a note to assign to "ITAM."
