Sometimes a Macbook computer displays a pop-up message when a presentation remote is plugged in, asking if the accessory is "allowed".
Even if the user is able to proceed, the message may reappear.
After verifying that an Apple adaptor is in use, the issue should be resolvable by changing the device permissions with this procedure:
- Go to Privacy menu
- Then to Security
- Adjust "allow accessories to connect" from
- "ask every time" to "always while unlocked" or "always"
