Technology upgrades in the recently renovated Comprehensive Studies Program (CSP) suite located on the First Floor of Angell Hall. 

This new technology installation includes:

  • Two LSA-TS Standard Classroom systems where the space can be combined into one larger open space with single podium control
    • AH 1160 and AH 1170 separated by a manually movable airwall
  • One Student Lounge that includes overflow space support for AH 1160 and AH 1170
  • Four LSA-TS Standard Huddle Space systems with video conferencing

Below is the detailed breakdown of the new installations:

Conference Room AH 1160/ Classroom AH 1170:

LSA-Technology Services Standard AVoIP (DM-NVX) Teaching Podium with interface at wall plate.  86' flat panel display mounted on East wall with AVoIP endpoint. Four digital RF channels (2 assigned to each room) along with two digital microphone arrays. Nine (for a total of 18) speaker ceiling mounted audio system. Lecture Record/Hybrid Zoom capabilities along with Bluetooth Auracast ALS support.

Storage AH 1160A:

Head End locked rack location for AH 1160, AH 1170 and AH 1155 equipment.  Master system control access.

Student Lounge AH 1155:

Open ceiling lounge/seating area intended for overflow space for AH 1160/AH 1170. Stand alone display presentation support provided.

The intended design solution will allow for two LSA-TS Standard Classrooms AH 1160 and AH 1170 each with identical presentation/teaching systems, when the two rooms are separated by the moveable partition (and activated by an in room partition sensor) will function as a standalone LSA-TS standard teaching space with LecRec and Zoom Hybrid.

For more advanced functionality, the ability to combine rooms AH 1160 and AH 1170 will be provided. 

Control for the combined mode will be via either podium.

The ability to control the system will also be available via the Head End rack control panel (future). 

Additionally, the ability to include room AH 1155 as part of the extended A/V matrix system will also be provided.

The display/endpoint in AH 1155 will be treated as a standalone endpoint that any matrix source can be routed to the display.

A wireless presentation appliance is provided for individual AH 1055 use.

When rooms are combined the LecRec/Hybrid Zoom systems (Camera and MacMini) used will follow the interfaced podium in 1160 or 1170 respectively. 

All RF microphones and both ceiling arrays will be utilized (as required) when rooms are combined.

  1. Split NO SENDS TO OTHER SPACES
  2. Split with Send from 1160 to 1055
  3. Spilt with Send from 1170 to 1055
  4. Combined NO SENDS either podium can be use (technically both)
  5. Combined Send from both podiums to 1055

Huddle Spaces AH 1111/AH 1136/ AH 1155A/ AH 1155B

Four LSA-Technology Services Standard Huddle Space with Video Conference:

  • 49” wall mounted flat panel display

    • Mounted on integrated display/equipment wall mount:

      • Crestron RMC 4 control

      • Wireless appliance

      • Windows 11 PC with wireless keybd/mouse

      • Netgear GS350PP

  • Bose VB-1  

  • Local HDMI input

  • 7” wall mounted touch panel

Please note that a new integrated wall mounting system has been installed in the Huddle Spaces. Please take extra care when accessing equipment behind the display.
