Huddle Cams
Portable, easy-to-use "huddle cameras" are now preferred for classroom videoconferencing
As opposed to bulkier, more costly devices
Or the tiny office variety, which is designed for use in one-on-one Zoom calls
The HuddleCamHD may be clipped onto a podium screen
Or stably secured with a lightweight tripod
The greater microphone range of these HuddleCams is still fairly limited. They can "fly on their own" in modestly proportioned meeting rooms, but should be paired with lapel lavalier and/or ceiling array microphones in classrooms.
Important Note:

A USB HuddleCam that has been connected to a podium computer will automatically assume the role of a microphone.

This will override the ceiling mounted array microphone, adversely affecting a Zoom event.

Issue can be resolved via the computer's sound settings.
