Determining and troubleshooting MPrint outages

Objective

This article outlines resources and possible steps to take if the MPrint Service is believed to be down.

Environment

  • U-M Printing Environment for LSA students, faculty, staff
  • Windows, Mac
  • Printer, LSA Printers

Procedure

  1. If possible, confirm that the issue is widespread by inquiring with colleagues or classmates, and/or attempt to print from an alternate machine or location.
  2. Visit the ITS Service Status page to see if the issue is known to ITS. Follow any steps listed.
  3. Attempt to print via the MPrint Web Interface.
  4. If printing remains unsuccessful, contact the LSA TS IT Service Desk or ITS Service Center.
