Headset recommendations from LSA Technology Services

Question

What are some recommendations for headsets to purchase for working remotely?

Answer

Example of Headphone and Microphone port

National headphone supply is running low and the remaining options are not top quality products. In an effort to avoid having quality issues, we suggest you utilize headphones that you may already have in your possession from home technologies such as iPhones, tablets, and so on.

If you do not have a suitable headphone option, feel free to submit an order to LSA Procurement through their OPS system for the headphones (with built in microphone) of your choice from Amazon. Many of the $10-15 options will be suitable for general work from home needs. We suggest you evaluate the delivery timing and customer reviews while making your suggestion.

Low-cost option

Panasonic RP-TCM115-W Canal-Type In-Ear Headphones. These headphones use a 3.5mm auxiliary cable to connect to a mobile device or computer. They have a microphone and line-line headphone controls (please note that not all in-line controls will work on every device). Also, check that the input on your computer supports microphone via a 3.5mm auxiliary connection. See photo for an example.
