Editing your MCommunity profile

Directions on how to log into MCommunity and edit your MComm profile. Set up an Away message.

Environment

MCommunity (mcommunity.umich.edu)

Procedure

1. Open a web browser (like Google Chrome).
2. Go to the MCommunity home page.
3. In the upper right, click "Log In."
4. Enter your uniqname and Kerberos password and click, "Log In."
5. In the upper right, "Guest" will change to your uniqname when you are logged in.
6. Click "My Profile."
7. On the right side, there are edit buttons for each of the changable groups.
   • Away Message — Edit / Create an away message for when people email you.
   • About Me — Share information about yourself
   • Notice — Can fill with best contact information
   • Proxies — Allows another person to edit your profile like you can (for example, to grant you administrative assistant access)
   • Links — Can share links to your work or personal life
8. When you are done, you can just log out.
