What is the PAUL, what is available there, and who can access it?

Answer
The PAUL is the Physics Authorized User Lab, a computer lab.
The PAUL is for use only by the following Department of Physics users:
- Faculty
- Staff
- Graduate students
- Undergraduate students, including declared majors and others doing physics-related work
The PAUL contains 1 Linux system, 3 Macs, and 8 Windows machines with software typically found on physics desktops. There are also work spaces where you can use your personal laptop. In addition, there are two departmental printers nearby. Both are labeled with their queue names.

Linux user accounts
Before you can use a PAUL Linux machine, you need to have your user account added. Simply submit a support request to LSATechnologyServices@umich.edu, or stop in at LSA TS Randall office next door. Adding the account takes only a few minutes.
