Lenovo Universal Thunderbolt 4 docking station compatibility
Resolution
The Lenovo Universal Thunderbolt 4 docking station provides docking connections using Thunderbolt 4 (Type-C) technology. On the back of the docking station there are multiple ports for connecting other devices. In addition to the AC power in connection, the back of the device has the following ports available: 1 USB-A 3.1, 2 USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 (bottom one provides always-on mobile device charging), 2 DisplayPort 1.4, 1 RJ 45/Ethernet, 1 HDMI, and 1 standard Thunderbolt 4, and 1 combo Thunderbolt for connecting the computer. On the front of the dock there are three ports available: 1 USB-C 3.2 Gen2 (provides always-on mobile device charging), 1 USB-A 3.2, and 1 3.5mm combo audio.
To be fully compatible, the dock must provide adequate power for the device and successfully work with 2 monitors, a mouse, keyboard, and networking. The following MiWorkspace recommended and supported PC laptops are compatible with this dock but the dock power button only works with the Lenovos:
- HP EliteBooks 840 G5, 850 G5, 840 G6, and 850 G6
- Dell Latitudes 5410, 5420, 5430, 5440, 5450, 5520, 5530, 5540, 5550, 7350 (standard and detachable), 7400, 9410, 9420, 9430, 9440, Pro 13 Premium, Pro 14 (PC14250), Pro 16 (PC16250), Pro 5 14 (P514260), & Pro 5 16 (P516260)
- Lenovo ThinkPads T14 Gen3, T14 Gen4, T14 Gen 6, T14 Gen 7, X1 Carbon Gen 12, X1 Carbon Gen 13 X13 Yoga Gen 3
The following MiWorkspace recommended and supported PC laptops are not compatible because of power issues. This Dell dock delivers 130W power to Dell devices but only 90W to non Dell devices. These laptops cannot be reliably used with this dock and attempting to do so is not recommended or supported:
- Dell Precisions 5550, 5560, 5570, 5680, 5690, 7680, Pro Max 16 (MC16250), Pro Max 16 Plus (MB16250), & Pro Precision 5 16 (PW516261)

Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen5
- Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen5, P1 Gen6, P1 Gen7- the dock works but does not charge the battery
