Issue

Is the Zoom Whiteboard feature available in U-M Zoom?

Resolution

• No, the Zoom Whiteboard feature is not available in U-M Zoom.
• You will notice the Whiteboard tab in your Zoom account settings with limited settings, but you do not have access to the feature through your U-M Zoom account.
• Note: The classic whiteboard feature that has always been available in Zoom meetings is still available. Zoom Whiteboard is a separate feature and unrelated.

To enable the classic whiteboard feature:

1. Go to the U-M Zoom web portal.
2. Click Settings from the left navigation.
3. Click the Meeting tab along the top and select In Meeting (Basic) on the left.
4. Scroll until you find the Whiteboard (Classic) setting and toggle it on.
5. [Optional] There are additional granular settings you can adjust as desired:
   • Use Whiteboard by default if available: Do not check this box. It is related to the Whiteboard feature we don't have.
   • Allow to save the whiteboard content: Allows participants to save the whiteboard content during the meeting.
   • Automatically create local export when sharing is stopped
