Issue
Can I use Zoom Events? Can I charge for a virtual event that uses Zoom?
Resolution
Zoom Events is an additional platform offered by Zoom for large-scale virtual events and conferences. Zoom Events is not a part of U-M Zoom, and there are no plans to implement Zoom Events in the U-M Zoom environment. You also cannot purchase Zoom Events licenses for individual use. This is true for Zoom Webinars Plus (formerly Zoom Sessions) licenses, as well, which fall under the Zoom Events licensing category.
Additionally, there is no method through U-M Zoom where you can charge others to attend a virtual event. While there may be other means of achieving that goal, ITS would be unable to provide support for them.
