Canvas Assignments Link Not Visible to Students in Navigation

Issue

The Assignments tool is enabled in the course settings in Canvas, but still shows as disabled in the left-hand course navigation.

Resolution

This behavior is unexpected and has been reported to Canvas. 

Teachers, TAs, and Designers can fix the problem:

• Go into an assignment in edit mode
• Save the assignment (you don’t need to do anything other than click Save)
• Assignments should now be enabled in the left-hand course navigation
