Forwarding U-M Email to Another Address Using MCommunity

Issue

Forwarding U-M mail to a different email address and/or stop U-M email from forwarding to a different email address. 

Resolution

To manage your email forwarding settings, please follow these steps:

1. Navigate to https://accounts.it.umich.edu/profile/
2. Log in with uniqname and UMICH password
3. Under Edit Your Information scroll down to Email Forwarding to add or delete a forwarding email address
4. Click Save Changes button at the bottom of the window

Note:

• You cannot remove your med.umich.edu or go.mail.umich.eduaddresses through this interface. These forwarding addresses allow you to receive emails at your UMICH email address(es). If you still wish to remove one of these addresses, please contact us.
• We cannot guarantee the delivery of legitimate email to external providers. Currently, Spectrum (including rr.com, charter.net, and other Spectrum domains) may reject a significant amount of legitimate emails.
