Issue
I'm attempting to open a PDF file, but encounter a page stating: "For the best experience, open this PDF portfolio in Acrobat X or Adobe Reader X, or later."
Resolution
Attempts to open a PDF Portfolio using a web browser will result in the "For the best experience, open this PDF portfolio in Acrobat X or Adobe Reader X, or later" page. This is normal and expected behavior.
Opening PDF Porfolios requires the file be downloaded and opened using the Adobe Acrobat software.
If one or more files or pages within a PDF Portfolio needs to be displayed and accessible within a web browser, the needed files or pages will need to be "Extracted" from the Portfolio and saved individually. This can be done by selecting one or more items in the portfolio from the left-side of the Adobe Acrobat window, then using the Extract From Portfolio icon above the list of items (i.e., curved arrow pointing to page icon) or right-clicking on an item and selecting "Extract from Portfolio..."
