I want to set the Gmail app as the default email app on my iPhone or iPad so that email links open directly in Gmail instead of the default Mail app.

Resolution

To set Gmail as the default mail app on your iPhone or iPad, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Tap on Apps.
  3. Select Default Apps.
  4. Tap Email.
  5. Choose Gmail from the list of available email apps.
