MiVideo: IVQ Quiz Questions Display Skewed In Player Timeline And The Video Has Loading Issues

Issue

Reports of a video with an IVQ (Interactive Video Quiz) having loading issues in a Canvas course. Question markers don't match up in the player timeline (the timeline is skewed).

Resolution

The issue occurs when the IVQ video also contains many chapters.

Kaltura engineers are aware and investigating this issue. The current workaround is to delete the chapters. Deleting the chapters won't fix the skewed timeline but should help with the loading issues.

Note: if you created the recording using Kaltura Capture with MS Powerpoint slides in presentation mode, Capture will automatically add chapters with timestamps for each slide to the recording. 

1. Navigate to Account > My Media > pencil icon next to the media item, or from the Media page click Actions > Edit.
2. Select the Timeline tab.
3. Click on the chapter or slide marker on the timeline to edit.
4. Click the Delete link.
5. Click Delete to confirm.
6. Repeat for each marker.
