U-M GPT: Retain Formatting When Copying to Google

Issue

How to copy a U-M GPT response and paste it into Google Docs, Slides, or Drawings while retaining formatting.

Resolution

In order to copy/paste a U-M GPT response into Google Docs, Slides, or Drawings, you must first enable Markdown in the Google application.

1. Follow the steps to enable Markdown in your Google application.
2. Click the clipboard icon next to a U-M GPT response in order to copy it to your clipboard.
3. In the Google application, right-click where you would like the content pasted and select Paste from Markdown.
