MReports: Resolving Secondary Access Visibility

Summary

It is possible to have the ProjectGrantProxy role and not be able to view any projects if the projects are inactive or past the Budget Period End Date specified in MPathways.

Issue

I have proxy access in MReports. Why am I not able to see any projects with Secondary Access?

Resolution

  • Principal Investigators (PIs) are able to assign secondary access for individuals from the P/G Summary page in MReports.
  • Once named on project(s), staff are able to view the projects from the P/G Summary page and the search type is labeled “Secondary Access.” 
  • A PI will need to add staff to their newer projects for them to be viewed. 
  • When projects become inactive, staff may still have the proxy role, but not see projects.
  • Sometimes prior access is cached and logging out of the application and restarting and/or clearing browser history is necessary when access has changed.
