How to create an alias on MacOS 

Resolution

To create an alias on a Mac, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the file or folder you want to create an alias for.
  2. Select the item by clicking on it once.
  3. Go to the File menu at the top of the screen.
  4. Choose Make Alias from the dropdown menu.
  5. An alias of the selected item will appear in the same location, typically indicated by an arrow on the icon.
  6. You can rename the alias if desired and move it to a convenient location.
