Issue
Event times in Google Calendar are automatically adjusting to the current time zone when traveling to different locations.
Resolution
To prevent Google Calendar from changing event times based on the time zone you travel to, follow these steps:
Google Calendar Website
- Sign in to Google Calendar.
- Click on the settings icon (i.e., gear icon), then select "Settings".
- Scroll down to the "Time zone" section.
- Uncheck the box next to "Ask to update my primary time zone to current location".
Google Calendar App
- Open the Google Calendar app.
- Tap on the menu icon (i.e., 3 horizontal lines) in the top-left corner.
- Tap on the settings icon (i.e., gear icon).
- Select "General".
- Toggle off the "Use device time zone" setting.
After these adjustments, events will be displayed according to the time zone you have set, regardless of your physical location.
