Non-UM (personal) email account

Issue

• U-M is prompting me for a non-UM (personal) email account, for account recovery purposes, but I don't have one yet
• I am leaving U-M and need to transition to a non-UM (personal) account, but I don't have one yet

Resolution

Personal (non-UM) email addresses are recommended for Account Recovery contact information. There are many different email service providers, and U-M does not endorse any particular providers. Popular services include Google's Gmail, Microsoft's Outlook, and Yahoo Mail.

Google Gmail

Microsoft Outlook

• Create a Microsoft Outlook account

Yahoo Mail

• Create a Yahoo account
