Issue

What are the storage limits within the ITS-managed campus instance of Microsoft 365 OneDrive?

Resolution

Storage limits are determined by your university role (and/or department group or job family):

  • Active faculty, regular staff, and students (non-Michigan Medicine affiliates): 1TB
  • Active temporary staff (non-Michigan Medicine affiliates, non-Student): 1TB
  • Active sponsored affiliates (all types eligible for Office 365): 100GB
  • Other "light workers" (regular staff with specific job family codes - 60, 61, 62): 100GB
  • Michigan Medicine affiliates (faculty, regular/temp staff, students, and sponsored affiliates where "Dept Grp VP Area = EXEC_VP_MED_AFF"): 100GB
Note: It is not possible to pay for additional storage. You also cannot request an increase in your storage limit. There are no exceptions.
