Can I use Google Photos Storage Saver in my U-M Google account?

This article provides an answer to whether Google Photos Storage Saver can be used with a U-M Google account to reduce their storage.

Issue

I want to reduce the size of my photos and videos in Google Photos to reduce my storage total. Can I use Google Photos Storage Saver? 

Resolution

Unfortunately, the option to use Storage Saver in Google Photos is not available for education domains like U-M Google. This option is only available for personal (non-UM) Google accounts.
