Issue
The "Remember me for 7 days" box is not able to be checked on the Duo Two Factor Authentication prompt. A message appears saying that cookies must be enabled in order to use the option.
Resolution
'Remember me...' can't be checked
This is caused by the third-party cookies settings in the browser.
- In a Chrome browser, open the Chrome menu/toolbar using the 3 vertical dots in the upper-right
- Select Settings
- Select the Privacy and security tab
- Choose Third-party cookies
- In the Customized behaviors section, Add duosecurity.com
- If duosecurity.com does not work, remove it and replace it with api-d9c5afcf.duosecurity.com
'Remember me...' not working across sessions
If "Remember me for 7 days" doesn't remember you in Chrome after checking the box, try the following:
- In a Chrome browser, open the Chrome menu/toolbar using the 3 vertical dots in the upper-right
- Select Settings
- Select the Privacy and security tab
- Select Site settings
- Under the Content section, select Additional content settings > On-device site data
- Under Default behavior, select Allow sites to save data on your device
- To make sure the cookie data isn't deleted, in the Allowed to save data on your device section, Add duosecurity.com
- If duosecurity.com does not work, remove it and replace it with api-d9c5afcf.duosecurity.com
