Troubleshoot Cable Television in Northwood Housing

Northwood Housing -- Buildings I,II, IV, and V

Issue

Residents of Northwood I, II, IV or V who are having cable television issues

Resolution

Note: Cable television is not provided in Northwood III. Cable television service IS available in all other Northwood areas.

  • Make sure ALL coax cable connections are correctly seated/plugged in
  • Search for programming via the menu(s) on the TV controller
    • Menus are different for each manufacturer
    • Use the manufacturer website for help or scan through available buttons to find how to start it
    • You may need to run the scan a few times to get all channels
    • Allow the entire scan to run until it says complete/finish/done
  • Make sure that the TV is truly digital, and has a QAHM tuner (required for cable TV but not for streaming)
    • Search the model on the internet to confirm
  • Residents in Northwood III can use internet streaming options for viewing television content
