ResponsiBLUE Error: Email Address Already Exists

Issue

I'm getting the error message "email address already exists" when I try to log in to ResponsiBLUE.

Resolution

This error happens if you used your personal Gmail address in ResponsiBLUE before it was restricted to University of Michigan accounts. 

  1. Choose your uniqname@umich.edu email address from the list and enter your UMICH login information, if prompted.
  2. If you don't see your uniqname@umich.edu email address in the list, tap or click Use another account. Proceed to the instructions below:
    1. Enter your uniqname@umich.edu email address in the Email or phone field (do not enter @med.umich.edu)
    2. Click Next
    3. Enter your UMICH login information, if prompted
    4. Click Log In
    5. Authenticate using Duo
    6. You will need to have the Duo Mobile app set up on your mobile device to receive push notifications or a phone call
