Review the course details, syllabus, expected time commitment, and hosting platform.

Select Enrollment Options on the course or series page.

Follow the prompts to select the platform that best fits your goals
Open online courses and series are available to enroll in at any time and do not require an application.
If you are using a U-M access benefit, select U-M Free Access in the Cost & Enrollment section when that option appears, rather than starting from the Coursera or edX homepage.
Additional Information
You do not need to be a University of Michigan student or a member of the U-M community to enroll in an open online course. Some opportunities or credentials may require payment. Teach-Outs are always free.
Online degree programs and for-credit certificate programs use an application process instead of open enrollment. Visit the program page to learn more.
